Celebrating Digital Scrapbook Day at DF

It's November 1 here and I am celebrating Digital Scrapbook Day ahead of most of you guys.

I will be hanging out at Digital Freebies' forum the whole day and I hope I could scrap at least one page before the end of the day.

Here's a preview of the Mega Kit that will be given out to challenge participants for free. It's called I Scrap to Remember. The colors on this one is sweet and perfect for all around scrapping. Look and see...

Happy Digital Scrapbooking Day

Oh yes, I'm still here. It has been a while since my last post and longer still since my last freebie. I am truly sorry for not being around. It has been a very full month for me at home. I haven't done anything related to digital scrapbooking at all.

I am hoping that November will be more productive for me digiscrapping-wise. I am sure though that I won't be able to scrap again in December because of the busy holiday season.

And so, to start off the month, it is Digital Scrapbooking Day! I'm sure that the digital scrapbook forums will be celebrating in full force. Maybe you already have picked a forum and are ready to celebrate?

I will be hanging out at Digital Freebies today. I don't know if I will be able to scrap, though. Baby Liam is very, very mobile already and I have to keep my eyes and hands on him ALL the time. I don't recall Leelai (4yo) ever being this wriggly. :)

Here is Liam (at 6 months old) in his walker and enjoying it...

Anyway, here's the announcement from Digital Freebies for the DSD celebration:

The store is having a 50%-off sale until the 3rd. There will be DSD challenges and contests until the 7th. And the games at the forums will run for today only. Will I be seeing you there?

Eyeglasses: How much is too many?

I have always worn eyeglasses since I was in high school. It has become part of my life and as important to me as a toe or even a finger.

I usually have 3 pairs of eyeglasses at home. One for everyday use, one for special occasions and the other a backup pair. I have one more in the car that is tinted. And countless more in my cabinet which have outdated styles or isn't the correct prescription anymore.

Right now, I want to buy two more pairs before the year ends. However, it is difficult for me to go out and shop for glasses right now. The best solution for me is to go shopping online.

And, I found ZenniOptical.com which I think is the perfect site for my eyeglasses needs. This site has been mentioned in Fox Newx TV, radio shows and even talked about in the Clark Howard Show. They have a huge collection of frames and a new batch has just come out.

After browsing the site, this one of the frames that I liked:

They offer as low as $8 for a pair of eyeglasses with single vision lens, sunsensor (potochromic) lens, tinted sunglasses lens, bifocal lens or progressive lens. If you are wondering (like I did) why they can go so low, they only sell their products online thus removing middlemen costs.

I'm heading back there to look for another pair right now. I guess too many isn't just enough! LOL!

See yah!
